Day 1 — Agliè
Visit the Ducal Castle of Agliè, a seventeenth-century residence of the San Martino family and, from the 18th century, a home of the House of Savoy, today a UNESCO heritage site: its three hundred rooms and magnificent garden make it the most important castle in Canavese. Discover Villa il Meleto, the summer residence of the poet Guido Gozzano. In the late afternoon, an Erbaluce wine tasting among the vine rows of Canavese. Overnight stay in a local B&B.
Day 2 — Castellamonte
A guided visit of the old town of Castellamonte, with the Antonelli rotunda, the village and the workshops of the master ceramists. Castellamonte is renowned for working the local red clay, transformed into ceramics for original artefacts and its famous stoves. A studio visit to a master ceramist and his workshop-museum. A light lunch with local km0 produce set among the Castelletti, the geological formation from which the red clay is extracted.
